How to Form an LLC in the Federation of BiH
A step-by-step guide through the process of registering a limited liability company in Sarajevo and beyond.
Forming a limited liability company (LLC) in the Federation of BiH is a process that requires preparation and gathering certain documentation. The minimum founding capital for an LLC is 1,000 BAM.
The first step is to make a Decision (or Agreement) on formation, which is certified by a notary. Then, with the certified documentation and proof of capital payment, an application for registration is submitted to the competent Municipal Court.
After receiving the Registration Certificate from the court, the next steps are: making a company seal, obtaining an Identification Number (ID number) from the Tax Administration, registering with the Statistics Office, and opening a transaction account.
